So, here I will share some home remedies or tips which will work to cure dark circles at home.
Tips to Get Rid of Dark Circles at Home:
Keep Your Body Hydrated Throughout the Day:
One of the easiest ways to reduce dark circles is making some lifestyle changes — like drinking enough water. When your body is well hydrated, your blood flow increases, and the toxins are carried out of the body.
Note: Dark circles are a sign of toxins.
Cucumbers:
We all know that cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties which are very good for our skin. So you can use cucumber to cure dark circles naturally. Take a fresh cucumber and chop it into thick slices and then freeze or refrigerate that for 30 minutes. Put those slices on your eyes for 10 minutes. Wash your eye with warm (but not hot) water. Try this method twice a day.
Rose Water:
Rose water is very good for our skin. Like cucumber, it’s a mild astringent and it can work as a skin toner. Just soak cotton in rose water for a few minutes, and apply this on dark circles and eyelids. Leave them for about 15 minutes and try to do this twice a day.
Homemade Facewash:
Make a paste using besan and fresh milk. Use it as a cleanser in place of face wash.
Dry Fruits:
Take some amount of Peanuts, Jaggery, and coconut in a bowl and enjoy it as a 4 pm snack.
Herbal Tea/Chai:
Make a chai of Ginger, Tulsi, and Kesar, and add honey to it. Drink once a day.
Aloe-vera Gel:
Apply aloe vera under your eyes every night and wash it off in the morning. It also helps brighten the skin of the eye area.
Afternoon Nap(If possible):
Nap in the afternoon (max 30 mins).
Conclusion: There are many reasons for dark circles like Aging, poor diet, excessive strain, long time working on laptops/screens, and dehydration. So ensure that you get at least 7 hours of sleep every day to prevent dark circles under the eyes. Also, do some eye exercises to remove dark circles at home. So I recommend not go for any medical treatment for dark circles. Just try the above-mentioned home remedies.
